Public Meetings for August, 2010:
Heath Outcomes Subcommittee – August 12, 2010
The subcommittee will formulate recommendations for changes to the Prioritized List to incorporate the new ICD-9-CM codes going into effect on October 1, 2010. It will also discuss coverage for amyloidosis, superior vena cava syndrome, congenital chordee, PE tubes, dyspraxia, sciatica, growth hormone treatment in children, audiometry, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, chronic sinusitis and breast reconstruction after mastectomy.

The commission will hear a report from the Health Outcomes Subcommittee on their recommendations for potential changes to the Prioritized List for October 1, 2010 implementation, including the placement of new ICD-9-CM codes. The commission will also continue its discussion on the guideline for the treatment of advanced cancers and issues related to coverage of bariatric surgery.
