Training information

We recommend and encourage all providers who serve OHP clients to attend and send staff to the Oregon MMIS Implementation training. If you participate with any of the contracted managed care organizations to provide services to OHP clients, make sure to attend training in person or on the Web.

Attending scheduled training will ensure that your staff members are familiar with the new functionality and features, particularly the Provider Web Portal. The more you learn, the more successful you will be when the replacement Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) goes live.

2009 training dates

After completing 6 months of training in and around the state, DHS is now scheduling additional training to help providers get started using the Provider Web Portal to assign staff access and verify medical eligibility for DHS clients.

  • MMIS Eligibility Web Portal Provider Training - Get a more thorough explanation of how to verify eligibility for OHP clients. View the course calendar for dates and locations.
  • MMIS Teleconferencing for Fee-for-Service Providers - Register to call in and ask your questions about setting up accounts, assigning clerk roles and verifying client medical eligibility using the Provider Web Portal. View the course calendar for dates and times.
  • Need help learning how to register for training? Go to MMIS training registration page.
  • Need to know what you will learn? Go to the MMIS course information page.
