Electronic eligibility verification
As with paper claims, you must verify that the client was eligible for service before billing for the service. For information on ways to determine OHP client eligibility electronically, see the OHP eligibility verification page.
Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
EFT, or direct deposit of your payments from DHS, is now available for both paper billers and EDI trading partners. For more information on how to apply for this service, download the form.
EDI transaction schedule
This document (PDF) shows DHS’ regularly scheduled downtime for all available EDI transactions.
EDI System Alerts
For any EDI system activities or downtime that does not fall into the EDI transaction schedule, DHS will issue EDI System Alerts. Make sure to eSubscribe to the EDI System Alerts page so that you are aware of the latest system status, such as delays in claim processing, EFT payment, or when a service or system comes back up.
Password change utility
For security purposes, you must update your mailbox password(s) every 60 days at this link. This time starts from the time you are assigned a password and you change it for the first time. The SFTP mailbox does not offer any reminders to warn you that your password is ready to expire.
